B.A. in English, with a minor in Creative Writing, St. John’s University ’17
Aimée Heath is entering her second and final year of work on her M.A. in English. A proud Houston native, Aimée first came to New York City to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in English at St. John’s University. Though she aspires to one day teach AP English Literature to high school seniors, her true love lies in creative writing. She writes both poetry and fiction, and her work has been featured in Sequoya, the St. John’s literary and arts magazine. She has also served on the Sequoya editorial board, and is the BA/MA Representative for the English Graduate Student Organizational Committee. Aimée loves to travel, support her Houston sports teams and the St. John’s Red Storm, and play the piano.
Aimée also runs two blogs: The Unauthorized Review of New York Theater and Dining and Aimée’s Expat Adventures (when she is traveling). Aimée is currently a Write to Recognition Mentor at Writopia Lab, where she helps instill confidence in low-literacy writers by working on their grammar skills. She also tutors middle and high school students in a variety of subjects.
