COMMUNICATIONS INTERNSHIP SPECIFICATIONS

 

TITLE: Communications Intern      

LOCATION: 191 Joralemon Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201

TYPE: Unpaid, for-credit internship

 

STATEMENT OF THE INTERNSHIP

The Communications Intern supports the activities of the Development and Communications Department at Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens.  The intern’s skills will be used to assist with day-to-day activities in the Department of Development and Communications, focusing directly on creative services, communications and fundraising.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Communications Intern will:

  • Assist in updating CCBQ social media profiles.
  • Conduct research and interviews for agency publications and other agency materials.
  • Assist in special events and other departmental tasks as needed.
  • Write content for website, newsletters and other publications as needed.

 

SPECIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION

High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s level degree either already obtained or in-progress.
