Dr. Bruce Hoerner to Speak at SUNY Writing Conference

 

The SUNY Council on Writing Conference to be held on October 19th and 20th at SUNY Farmingdale.

The conference committee has recently secured Dr. Bruce Horner as a keynote speaker.

 

 

Dr. Bruce Horner is Endowed Chair in Rhetoric and Composition at the University of Louisville, where he teaches courses in composition, composition theory and pedagogy, and literacy studies. Prior to his arrival in Louisville, he served as Director of Composition at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He publishes widely on matters of labor and language difference in composition. His recent books include Reworking English in Rhetoric and Composition: Global Interrogations, Local Interventions (co-edited with Karen Kopelson), Crossing Divides: Exploring Translingual Writing Pedagogies and Programs (co-edited with Laura Tetreault), Economies of Writing: Revaluations in Rhetoric and Composition (co-edited with Brice Nordquist and Susan Ryan), and Rewriting Composition: Terms of Exchange.

Dr. Horner will share with us his insight during the luncheon on Saturday, October 20th.
