I am a 23-year old international student from Serbia, where I earned my BA degree in English. I had a chance to learn about the English language in depth (phonetics, morphology, syntax, semantics), as well as about the British and American literature from their very beginnings to the postmodern period. In the last year of my undergraduate studies, I developed an avid interest in the effects of capitalism and technology on the literature and culture of the 21st century. Since St. John’s University gives a strong focus on postmodern topics, I decided to apply. My GA position at the Office of Graduate Admission enabled my education at St. John’s, and courses and professors proved that this program is precisely what I was searching for.
