M.A. candidate, St. John’s University

My name is Justina D’Costa and I am currently a master’s candidate at St. John’s University. I graduated with a B.S. in Physics from St. John’s University and aspire to be an educator for New York City Public Schools. My areas of interest include language studies from the Post-Colonial perspective, feminist theory and gender studies along with West Indian, African and South Asian literature. I also enjoy a good bildungsroman and medieval literature. Some of the courses I have taken as a part of my higher education include Strands of Post Colonialism and Topics in Restoration and 18th Century British Literature.

Additionally, I work as a curatorial assistant under Dr. Owen Duffy in the Yeh Art Gallery at St. John’s University. During my free time I enjoy binging Netflix shows and playing my ukulele.
