Stephanie Vanderslice, Professor of Writing and Director of Arkansas Writers MFA Workshop is excited to announce the launch of the Creative Writing Studies Organization’s official website: http://creativewritingstudies.org/.
The organization is an academic organization dedicated to scholarly inquiry into creative writing theory, history, and pedagogy, and they’ve just incorporated with nonprofit status!
She is announcing the first issue of their open-access, peer-reviewed Journal of Creative Writing Studies (http://scholarworks.rit.edu/jcws/) and a CFP for our first annual Creative Writing Studies Conference (http://creativewritingstudies.org/content/conference).
Also, in the middle of a membership drive, Vanderslice and the CWS Organization created a crowdfunding campaign to help raise the funds needed to obtain 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status (http://tinyurl.com/CWSOfunding).
Professor Vanderslice would be happy to answer any questions about the CWSO, journal, conference, or crowdfunding campaign off-list. And would love for anyone to check out the exciting things planned ahead!
