Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Composition

 The Department of English at Florida Atlantic University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin August 2018. Candidates must have teaching and research interests in Rhetoric and Composition.  Candidates working in Digital Rhetoric/Composition, Professional Writing, and/or Technical Writing will be given special consideration.

The hired candidate will teach primarily on the Boca Raton campus, with a minor assignment on the Davie campus. We seek a candidate who will balance high-quality scholarship, excellence in teaching, and committed service. Faculty typically teach a 3-2 course schedule. Faculty teach and mentor graduate students in the department’s Master’s Degree programs as well as the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters interdisciplinary Ph. D. program.

Requirements include a Ph.
