
REMINDER for Thursday
LuMing Mao, Ph.D., the 2016 Peter P. and Margaret A. D’Angelo Chair in the Humanities, will deliver a lecture, “The Art of Recontextualization: Engaging the Rhetoric of the Other Comparatively,” on Thursday, April 21, at 1:50 p.m. in D’Angelo Center, Room 206.
A professor of English and Asian/Asian-American Studies and chair of the English department at Miami University, Mao earned recognition as a scholar-teacher of comparative rhetoric, cultural studies, and Asian/American rhetoric. This semester he joined the English faculty in St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences as the D’Angelo Chair and is teaching an undergraduate and a graduate seminar on “Comparative Rhetoric: Representing the Other.”
