Speaker Series: Thursday 10/6/16 – Juan Guerra, PhD “The Rhetoric of Experience: Learning to Navigate Discursive Worlds in Flux”

Please join the English Department and the Institute of Writing Studies in welcoming noted rhetoric and composition scholar, Juan Guerra.

Dr. Guerra is an author of Language, Culture, Identity and Citizenship in College Classrooms and Communities, as well as the Chair of the Department of American Ethnic Studies at the University of Washington.

In his talk, Dr. Guerra will tackle a question instructors ask themselves constantly: what, if anything, can we teach students who must write in varied disciplines across a university campus?
