The Writing Center is hosting a Halloween Event, “Pumpkin Poetry! A Poetry Slam,” on Tuesday, October 25th from 5-7 pm.
This event is for students of all levels to participate, showcasing student poetry and doing some personal freewriting. The Writing Center looking to engage freshmen or sophomores specifically, since a lot of them aren’t aware that there is a space on campus dedicated to recognizing and supporting their creative writing.
Call For Poets – want to see your poetry come alive this Halloween season? The writing center is in search of poets to perform at their Halloween poetry slam! If you have words to share; email your name and the title of your poem to writingcenter@stjohns.edu to get your name on the line up.
The call is open until October 18th.
