“Cultivating Cultural Humility for Palestinian Rhetoric” – 4/11 1:50-3:15pm

The English Department is proud to co-sponsor a symposium on “Cultivating Cultural Humility for Palestinian Rhetoric,” organized by the Communications Department and Palestine Solidarity Committee. Professor Noura Hajjaj from Duquesne University will be presenting her research, which explores the depictions of Palestinians in US mainstream media and offers an alternative intercultural approach that emphasizes the real experiences of Palestinians affected by violence, wars, and displacement. Following Prof. Hajjaj’s presentation, there will be lunch from King of Falafel & Shawarma, as well as political advocacy activities.
