Hello and greetings from Northwestern University!
On behalf of the Litowitz Graduate Creative Writing Program at Northwestern, I’d like to ask you to pass this email on to any of your undergraduate students interested in pursuing creative writing beyond the undergraduate level. We are especially interested in seeing applications from students of diverse backgrounds, intersectionalities, and geographies.
The Litowitz MFA+MA Graduate Creative Writing Program offers two degrees from Northwestern University: an MFA in Creative Writing and an MA in Literature. The program provides free tuition and the largest yearly stipend for a graduate creative writing program in America ($46,357), as well as full health, dental, and vision benefits to each accepted student for all three years of the program. Our faculty includes Natasha Trethewey, Daisy Hernández, Chris Abani, Sarah Schulman, Charif Shanahan, and Juan Martinez. These faculty members teach workshops and direct theses; Litowitz students work directly with a thesis advisor and committee in their genre.
Applications are open now. For more details, please visit our site at https://english.northwestern.edu/graduate/mfa-ma-program/.
If you or any of your students have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out directly to me at colin.pope@northwestern.edu.
Thanks, and have a wonderful day!
