St. John’s University Department of English was well-represented at the 2016 Modern Languages Association (MLA) conference in Austin, TX. Doctoral students Laura Lisbeth and Cristina Migliaccio both presented, as did faculty members Kathy Lubey, Steve Mentz, and Shanté Paradigm Smalls.
The MLA conference is the signature academic 
conference in English studies and other modern languages.
