Bilingual Review / La Revista Bilingüe invites submissions to a special issue on “Latinx LGBTQ+ Perspectives.” With this special issue, we hope to contribute to the emerging scholarship at the intersections of Latinx studies and LGBTQ+ studies. What does it mean to be both Latinx and LGBTQ+ in these times? How do individuals and groups experience their multiple identities? What is negotiated? What is a non-negotiable? We also encourage scholarly and creative responses to the recent anti-LGBTQ+, anti-Latinx tragedy in Orlando, Florida

Potential topics include:

•Latinx LGBTQ+ histories and archives
•Latinx LGBTQ+ aesthetics, poetics, or literary movements
•Transgender, gender non-conforming, and non-binary perspectives
•Undocumented perspectives on being LGBTQ+histories and archives
•Latinx social movements and LGBTQ+ social movements
•Representations of Latinx LGBTQ+ people in film
