Dr. John Lowney, Professor of English, had two major essays published this year:
One is “‘Frank-ly Speaking’: Frank Marshall Davis, the African American Left, and Barack Obama’s Dreams from My Father” which appeared in Barack Obama’s Literary Legacy: Readings of Dreams From My Father, edited by Richard Purcell and Henry Veggian for Palgrave Macmillan.
The other, “William Carlos Williams: The New Poetries and Legacy,” is the concluding chapter of the recent Cambridge Companion to William Carlos Williams, edited by Christopher MacGowan for Cambridge University Press.
Congratulations, Dr. Lowney!
