More SJU English PhD Success Stories!

A few more of our recent St. John’s English PhDs have had successes that didn’t make it into last week’s web-story over on stjohns.edu —

Nathalie Virgintino (PhD ’16) directs the Writing Center and teaches First-Year Writing at Concordia College in Westchester.

Scott Morgan (ABD) is an Instructor in English at Warner University in Florida, where he has just been named the Professor of the Year.

Patricia Milanes (PhD ’17), who recently defended her PhD, will continue in her position at York College (CUNY) but will be promoted from Instructor to a tenure-track Assistant Professor.

Jane Clay (PhD ’16) has accepted a full-time teaching position at Keiser University in Clearwater, FL, where she will be teaching both Writing and Literature courses.

Kerri Mulqueen Baldassaro (DA ’16) has recently begin a tenure-track Assistant Professor position at Manhattan College.

Lauren Williams (PhD ’17) teaches as an Assistant Professor at Thomas Nelson Community College. She has just been awarded the “Spirit of Thomas Nelson” award for Professional Excellence in Institutional Responsibility for her work on a zero-textbook-cost pathway for the A.S. degree in social science.

John Misak

John Misak (DA ’16) is an Assistant Professor teaching creative and critical writing at the New York Institute of Technology’s campus in Old Westbury.
