Part-Time (Adjunct) Faculty Job Advertisement

Fall 2018

Manhattan College seeks part-time faculty to teach in the First Year Composition Program.  2/2 annual course load composed of First Year Composition courses plus minor administrative, planning, and development responsibilities.  M.A./M.F.A. in English or Rhetoric and Composition with demonstrated experience teaching composition required; Ph.D. and a record of publication preferred.

 

The qualified applicants will teach in the English department’s First Year Composition program, teaching personal, critical, and research writing through self-selected themes.  Responsibilities include:

 

  • Attendance at two (2) programmatic/professional development meetings
  • Assistance with program assessment and development
  • Assistance with Writing Across the Curriculum committee work as it pertains to the First Year Composition program
  • Service on First Year Composition student writing awards and/or First Year Composition student outcomes assessment
