Dawn Cancellieri
B.A. in English and Theater Arts from The College of the Holy Cross
M.A. in English Literature from Central Connecticut State University
Dawn is a Ph.D. student in English at St. John’s University. She has a B.A. in English and Theater Arts from The College of the Holy Cross and an M.A. in English Literature from Central Connecticut State University. She has taught English and Expository writing at the college level for the past 10 years and is currently at Mercy College where she is a lecturer. Dawn has also worked in the Mercy Writing Center as a tutor and as an instructor and curriculum designer for Mercy’s summer HEOP program. Her areas of interest for her Ph.D. studies include the intersections of 19th Century British Gothic, Gender and Queer Theory, and Composition and Rhetoric to increase student engagement in the writing arts. When not reading Dawn enjoys sewing, costuming, and needlework.
