Abbie is currently enrolled in the English PhD program at St. John’s University. Her research interests include ecocriticism, travel narratives, and nature and landscape as therapy. Abbie has been an adjunct instructor since 2013, teaching a range of courses including composition and rhetoric, developmental writing, and various first-year seminars. She also had the rewarding opportunity to teach a first-year seminar to inmates at a maximum-security women’s prison through Raritan Valley Community College’s Prison Education Program.  Abbie is also the Assistant Director of Academic Success and Advising at Centenary University in Hackettstown, NJ where she coordinates tutoring services, advises undergraduate students, and works to help students academically succeed. When not working or studying, she enjoys traveling as much as possible, exploring art museums in New York City, and spending as much time as possible enjoying the outdoors.
