Adjunct Instructor Opportunity at Adelphi University

“The Adelphi University English Dept is looking for adjunct faculty to teach literature courses and first year composition courses. Our goal is to create schedules for each instructor that allow them to teach to their specialities and interests for a number of consecutive semesters. A typical teaching schedule would include one composition course and one elective literature course of the instructor’s design. Salary is approx $5200 per section.  These are traditional in-person classes held on campus in Garden City, Long Island (a very easy LIRR ride), but up to 30% of the class can be conducted online, synchronous or asynchronous, if desired.  Applicants should have their PhD or be well-advanced within their PhD program, and have prior classroom teaching experience.
