Bethany Sattur is a first-year English Ph.D. student and doctoral fellow at St. John’s University. Her research interests include Early Modern/Renaissance literature, particularly Shakespeare, queer theory, and film, specifically the horror genre. She received her M.A. in English from Fordham in May 2020 after extensive study of Renaissance and queer theory, as well as her burgeoning interest in film. Three years prior, she graduated cum laude from NYU with a B.A. in English. After working as a writing center tutor as a funded graduate assistant at Fordham, she now runs the English department blog and is an assistant to both Drs. Amy King and Jennifer Travis.
