Late October means another set of dissertation defense for our department’s new PhDs! First out of the gate this year is Dr. Brian Hicks.
Last week on Oct. 22, Dr. Brian Hicks successfully defended his persuasive, original dissertation, “Finding, Founding, and Forging: Queer Formulations of Family in Nineteenth-Century British Novels.”
His mentor Dr. Rachel Hollander chaired, with Drs. Amy King and Kathleen Lubey as committee members. Hurrah!
