As summer eases toward its end and the SJU English community’s thoughts turn toward the Queens campus, the mult-year labors of our hard-working doctoral students are reaching their culminatons. It’s the season of the summer doctoral defenses!
On Tuesday August 5, now-Doctor Gabby Greco successfully defended her dissertation, which is entitled “Recognizing Speculative Literature: Conceiving Identity in the Archives of Enslavement.” She is pictured here with her mentor, Dr. Dohra Ahmad, and her two committee members, Dr. Elda Tsou and Dr. Raj Chetty.
