Doctoral Candidate Wins Two Awards: Lauren Williams

Dr. Anne Gellar reports on one of our doctoral candidates:

Exciting news from Lauren Williams, doctoral student. She is English faculty at Thomas Nelson Community College in Virginia and she was just awarded two big institutional awards.

She won:

2016 Spirit of Thomas Nelson Award for Professional Excellence in Teaching
I was one of two faculty to receive this award this year. Recipients are nominated by peers and selected by a committee of peers.

2016 Gator Great Service Award
From the award description: “This award is presented each year to 10 Thomas Nelson employees who consistently deliver “excellent customer service to our students, our community, and each other.” The individuals who receive this prestigious award will be those who demonstrate integrity, commitment, and service. All Thomas Nelson employees [full-time and adjunct credit and non-credit faculty, part-time (P-14), classified staff, mid-level managers, and administrators] are eligible to receive this award.”

Congrats, Lauren!
