GOOD NEWS!
The deadline for submissions to our annual English Department Graduate Conference has been extended to February 18th!
This conference is a wonderful opportunity to find an audience for and feedback about seminar papers you’ve written, MA or dissertation chapters you’re projecting or written, or academic or creative work you want to pursue.
Graduate conference advisor, Dr. Lubey, also would like to mention: “The conference will be held on Saturday April 6th with a keynote address from Dr. Tricia Matthew, Associate Professor of English at Montclair State on “Sugar, Gender, Literature, and Art.” Tricia is editor of the extremely well-received collection Written/Unwritten: Diversity and the Hidden Truths of Tenure (2016)–she was just interviewed on Brian Lehrer about it!–and author of many articles on diversity in higher ed in PMLA, The Atlantic, and others. At Montclair, Tricia teaches courses on British Romanticism, abolitionism, and the history of the novel.”
Additional details can be found in the attached CFP flyer and other inquiries can be send to sjugradconference@gmail.com.
**Please note that the flyer has not been updated to reflect the extended submission deadline, however, IT IS February 18th.**
