Requirements  

Position Description:

Worth’s psychology group is seeking an individual who will be a key member of the psychology editorial team whose responsibilities will include providing editorial and administrative support to Acquisition Editors as well as overseeing details regarding ongoing projects. This individual must possess attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Providing administrative support by overseeing and maintaining files, from contracts to check requests
  • Assisting Editors with their projects, including but not limited to running reports and updating sales data
  • Transmitting chapters to production and overseeing manuscript preparation
  • Running review projects with external vendors while compiling and maintaining review data

Required Skills / Knowledge:

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong multi-tasking skills in a fast paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines and work independently

Experience Needed:

  • Previous book publishing experience a plus

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
