Michael Berube, MLA President, on Graduate Education

A great piece in the CHE by Berube on the crisis in graduate education today.

This is very much worth reading for all present and future grad students and faculty — esp. if you make it all the way through to his technical use of the word “awesome” to describe contemporary work by faculty and students in the humanities.
