Resource Guide: Safeguarding, Supporting, & Supervising Gender Minority Students

I am Dr. Chris Chevallier and I’ve been leading a project on gender minority  students in higher education. This project was conducted in association with the Transgender Equality Network Ireland, the National LGBT Federation, and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland’s EDI Unit.
I’ve just completed a 50 page resource guide with Dr. Conor Buggy (University College Dublin) that provides 101 information, data driven recommendations, and references/links to help with the inclusion and protection of this community. It can be accessed freely here and contains within it links to previous works from this project: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/342182952_Safeguarding_Supporting_and_Supervising_Gender_Minority_Students_in_Institutes_of_Higher_Education

I hope that this guide is informative and can be used as a tool for advocacy. It covers topics ranging from campus healthcare to PhD supervision and inclusive language. Please feel free to share it within your networks or host it digitally as a resource. While this project has been developed within a European context, it has been designed to cross cultural settings and may also be applicable to research labs and aspects of workplaces as well.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss the document, please feel free to contact me at any time. Additionally, if you have any issues accessing the document, I can email you the PDF directly. Chris Chevallier: geog DOT chevallier AT gmail DOT com
