Solitary confinement is anything but quiet. Sammy scatters crumbs from his meals to bring out a mouse, who he named, to talk to. All to pass the time. Only, this mealtime, his mouse friend doesn’t emerge. An intimate play that examines the cruelty of solitary confinement, regardless the reason it’s issued, regardless the crime of the prisoner.
Solitary is the new play written and directed by PhD student Seán Griffin, and it is being performed this month at the Under St. Marks Theater! Tickets are available here.
