Spring 2021 Advising: Online Edition!

During this strange Covid semester, the English department is modifying our usual advising practice for English majors and minors.
We are going to reach out to each of our students in two different ways for advising.
Each faculty member will going to block off some time in our current Fall 2020 classes so that we can offer to advise the students we are teaching this year.
Each of us will also email students who we have advised in past semesters.
We are also very happy to have any of you contact us, with questions or just to be advised!
This new system means you may be contacted by both one of your current professors and an old advisor. Obviously you only need to be advised once — and you can choose whichever route seems easiest!
I insert here some of materials you’ll need for your an advisement appointment, which will be — like so much these days — via video chat.
In terms of the calendar, here are the key dates at which different students can register for S21 classes:
10/28: Seniors
11/2: Juniors
11/9: Sophomores
11/16: First-Years
Please reach out to any faculty member with questions or to make an appointment. Students who are in the BA/MA program should contact Dr. Amy King, Director of Graduate Studies.
We are all sorry that we can’t see you in my basement offices in St John Hall! We hope that each of you is managing this difficult year as well as you can!
