Whitman on Walls! – The Poets and the Poems!

We are so excited to share our lineup of poets and poems for the Whitman on Walls! event on campus Sat 10/26.

We plan to feature 20 original poems, written by members of the St. John’s community, in dialogue with Walt Whitman.

The poems come from all areas of our community, including English majors, non-majors taking English classes, graduate students and facutly.

We are all excited to take part in this event, staged by Karin Coonrod and the Compagnia de’ Colombari.

Here’s the list of poems, including two “Group Poems” written jointly by students in two sections of English 1100c, the University Core course of the English department.
