Writing and Critical Inquiry at the University at Albany, SUNY

The Program in Writing and Critical Inquiry at the University at Albany, SUNY, seeks 4 full-time lecturers to begin Fall Semester of 2023. These are 3-year renewable lines with opportunities for promotion. We are also seeking to increase cultural diversity in our program, so we strongly encourage applicants from under-represented backgrounds.

The course load is 3/4, with the possibility of release from 1 course/year to assist with professional development opportunities as assigned by the program director, Dr. Stephanie Hassan Richardson. Lecturers teach the Seminar in Writing and Critical Inquiry (WCI), a required general education course designed to introduce students to college-level critical inquiry, with an emphasis on the intensive practice of writing in academic and other contexts, and implement inclusive strategies that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. For more about WCI, visit www.albany.edu/wci.

Review of applications will begin on March 20, 2023.
