Queens Campus Research Month: A Message from the Senior Vice Provost

St. John’s University Students and Faculty should be advised that, next semester, we’ll be celebrating Queens Campus Research Month. Please see a message from our Senior Vice Provost:

I am pleased to remind all faculty that student and faculty research presentations will be held on Thursday, April 19, on the Queens campus as part of Research Month 2018.

This year the Awards Program for student presentations will be in five categories: graduate science posters, graduate humanities posters, undergraduate science posters, undergraduate humanities posters, and oral presentations (undergraduate and graduate students combined). There will be first-, second-, and third-place prizes, including cash awards in each category. To be eligible, students must submit an abstract of their presentation when they register. Please encourage your students to participate!

Registration begins at the start of the spring semester. A follow-up e-mail will be sent in January with the registration instructions.

A list of events can be found at stjohns.edu/research/research-month. Your ideas and questions can be e-mailed to studentresearch@stjohns.edu.

We are contacting faculty now so you can make note of interesting work that surfaced in your Fall 2017 courses, as well as exciting work that will be done during the Spring 2018 semester.

Cheers – we hope to see your presentations in April!
