The department has just received information about two internships with UNICEF USA. Below the fold is the letter from Dorothy Kuhn, a UNICEF employee. The descriptions of the two internship are pdfs, which this blog can’t post, but one is for Volunteer & Community Partnerships Department, at the NYC World Headquarters (3 positions available, starting in June) and the other for the Office of Strategic Partnerships (starting immediately). Both are unpaid internships, requiring roughly 15-20 hours per week.
I am reaching out today to inquire about any potential students/candidates interested in applying for the U.S. Fund for UNICEF’s spring and summer internship program. The U.S. Fund for UNICEF is the voice for UNICEF in the United States, working for the survival of children around the world through fundraising, education, and advocacy. For more than 60 years, UNICEF has been the world’s leader for children, saving more young lives than any other humanitarian organization.
The Volunteer & Community Partnerships Department (VCP), located in our National Headquarters in New York City, is looking for three Interns who will assist in production of volunteer resources and provide some administrative support to the department. The internship will provide an opportunity to learn about UNICEF’s work worldwide, volunteer management, and campaign creation. The internship starts in mid-June and concludes in mid-August 2012.The Office of Strategic Partnerships Department (OSP) is looking for an intern to start asap on work related to research, donation history, the preparation of letters, reports, and presentations, mailings of UNICEF major publications, filing as needed, and actions related to NGO conventions, events, and campaigns, as well as follow-up items required after OSP staff attend meetings or conventions held by our leading OSP donors. To learn more about each position, please find attached position descriptions. If you any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at dkhan@unicefusa.org.Regards,Dorothy Khan
