African Humanities Program–Call for Applications

Generous support from the Carnegie Corporation of New York has extended the African Humanities Program for two more years, 2016-17 and 2017-18. The heart of the program will continue to be competition cycles for ‪Dissertation‬-completion ‪‎Fellowships‬ and ‎Postdoctoral‬ Fellowships. These will be the final AHP fellowship competitions.

November 2, 2016 is the ‪deadline‬ for fellowship applications for this year.
We urge all who are eligible to apply. ‪Women‬ are especially encouraged to apply, not only for fellowships but also for associated activities.

Each competition cycle will include
• Dissertation-completion fellowships
• Postdoctoral fellowships for research and writing
• Residencies for research and writing at African institutes for advanced study
• Manuscript development workshops for AHP Fellows
• An open call to AHP Fellows for submission of manuscripts to the African Humanities Series
