The students, faculty and staff at the St. John’s University Department of English would like to extend their warmest congratulations to Laila Shikaki, who recently passed her oral comprehensive examinations May 2019. The examination was conducted by doctors Raj Chetty, Dohra Ahmad and Elda Tsou.
Shikaki, a doctoral candidate, joins the ranks of those scholars who have completed all of the requirements of their study but her dissertation. We look forward to Lailas’s continued work at the department and achievements in the field of English.
